Let's you get a taste of what Railbird hunting during a flood tide is all about. Gunning from the front chair while the guide poles the skiff through a spartina grass flat can be mighty exciting.
That is why you need to contact to get a good flood tide date.
** I don't bother hunting railbirds except - on big railbird flood tides.** These only occur about three to five days each month of the season. Depending on weather and migration- you got a good chance to kill at least two species of the four railbird species that are migrating down the Atlantic Flyway.
If you desire to lock down a specific date- you got to make that call ASAP. I do have a "stand by list" where if a client has to re-schedule their hunt, I go to that stand by list and call the person at the top of that list who is registered client.   Remember that 90% of my clients book - six months to one year in advance just in order to get a big flood tide date to hunt.

Waterfowl Hunts during the holidays: only serious Duckaholic's need to inquire about- these hunts, especially those who enjoy vacationing at Figure Eight Island, South Port, or Bald Head Island N.C. Book these holiday -Waterfowl hunt charters before that season so you can get your loved one on a holiday duck hunt.

N.C. Duck season *really doesn't really cranks up well - down here in SE North Carolina coast, until just prior to Thanksgiving, and of course- there are the popular opening day  Black Duck hunts for that species opening day - especially if you like shooting big ol' Red Legs after they've arrived down south. Duck shooting down here in SE North Carolina really is a mixed bag of waterfowl migrating down south throughout the Christmas and New Year's holidays; especially for the special holiday - Father and Son hunt charters.
January is the coldest month of our season,  and certainly keeps us busy behind our coastal sea island -backcournty hunts along our Carolina Coast.
